Voice Acting Development
I have completed the extensive voiceover Core Curriculum training program at San Francisco's renowned Voice One with teachers such as Sally Clawson, Gavin Hammon, Jim Edgar, and many more. There, I have developed comprehensive skills in all styles of commercial, character, and narrative voice acting.
My training is ongoing with Voice One’s Advanced and Professional programs, one-on-one coaching, as well as acting and improvisation courses at Studio ACT and the Berkeley Rep.
What I Bring to the Booth
My work as a voice actor flows naturally from my experiences as a game master, writer, teacher, and lawyer.
As a tabletop RPG player and game-master, I leap enthusiastically into theater of the mind and improvisation often shifting between multiple characters in the space of a few moments.
As a writer of graphic novels, serials and screenplays, I explore the nuances of motivation, expression and action to create compelling, believable characters in both realistic and genre-based contexts.
As a professional development facilitator, I combine narrative-style teaching with hands-on scenario-based roleplaying clinics in which I authentically portray a wide range of characters from all walks of life.
As a lawyer, I used the power of storytelling in court to persuade judges and jurors. In conference rooms, I honed a warm, professional voice to provide sage advice to clients and to develop trusting rapport with a wide array of witnesses. My work as an attorney also provided me with expertise in the fields of healthcare, insurance, pharmaceuticals, a wide range of consumer products, and technology.
